Linder

Linder’s photomontage fits the idea of stereotype for women. The model is posing in a flattering manner, showing off her physical appearance the the camera montaged behind her. Linder has also place a vacuum cleaner in place of her head and fitting oversized facial features on top. This piece is very powerful as any woman would be offended to be pushed in to that stereotype, I think the piece is very brave and eye-opening even though it was completed in 1976 it still proves a point today that the stereotype still hasn’t vanished in our society.
